講義:「脳とことばの不思議な関係」-ことばで脳はよみがえる-

I enjoyed this lecture!!! It's a fun lecture to watch, and there are no difficult concepts or subtle definitions, so it's not a difficult lecture to watch and enjoy at all if you have a bit of brain vocabulary (if not, you can learn some from here too).

The lecture is about the special value of the prefrontal cortex to humans. It tells you what sort of activities the prefrontal cortex is used for, and the lecturer goes through a number of short tests that can tell you how well your prefrontal cortex is doing. After that, he tells you how especially powerful learning a foreign language and reading out loud is for training the prefrontal cortex to work better (something all of us can be happy to hear :). He also talks briefly about the work he did with Altzheimers patients and reading aloud, and the effects that had. Finally, he tells us what else we can do to improve our prefrontal cortex function.

Definately, a nice fun lecture to watch for people who might be interested in easy brain science (who isn't?! ;)

  1. Whaaaaaa---------!!

I'm happy to listen to this.
Even more happy to know that it's possible to more or less understand such things with my Jap.
